Dr Benjamin Cass is a shoulder and elbow surgeon practising on the lower north shore of Sydney.
Dr Cass trained at Sydney University and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He was appointed to Sydney University as Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery and as Consultant Surgeon to The Royal North Shore Hospital in 2006. In 2010, he was appointed as a Visiting Medical Officer. He was appointed VMO at Ryde Hospital in 2010.
After passing the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Fellowship exams, he completed post-fellowship training at The Mayo Clinic, working with Professor Bernard Morrey, and at Royal North Shore Hospital with Professor David Sonnabend.
Dr Cass specialises in shoulder reconstruction and replacement for tendon or labral tears, instability or arthritis via arthroscopic, and when needed, open surgery. He also performs reconstructive elbow surgery, including ligament reconstruction, arthroscopy, releases and replacement.
